While the focus of psychotherapy is often on current issues, understanding the influence of past
experiences and relationships is an important part of the therapeutic process. My perspective is that
every individual has a purpose and a mission, yet sometimes we need objectively and professionally
guided examination in rediscovering that purpose, and to identify goals and objectives to fulfill that
mission. I approach my work with my clients with respect, humor, and by utilizing evidence-based
practices to achieve meaningful outcomes.
Some of the common, everyday issues that I work with are grief, stress, anxiety, and relationship
difficulties, along with often longstanding issues such as mood disorders, posttraumatic stress disorder,
and anxiety disorders.
